This tour, which includes a train journey and a guided walk, explores the Guadarrama mountain range and the Peñalara Natural Park, Madrid's closest natural environments. The expert guides explain the geology and history of the area. The tour runs during July and August as long as at least 10 people sign up in advance. Once you have reserved your place, you meet in the Cercedilla railway station at 10:30a and the tour lasts until 5:30p. During the rest of the year tours only run for groups of schoolchildren. Transport: take a train from Atocha or Chamartín. Adults: EUR7.81; under-12s: EUR4.80.
