Madrileños associate this theatre with spectacular comedy productions, although it also stages serious drama, musicals and variety shows. It's one of the largest and most popular of its kind in the city, holding up to 1060 spectators. It has been a theatre since 1930 and now belongs to Spain's most famous comic actress, Lina Morgan. She has created her own acting company that keeps the place occupied. You'll find it in an attractive area of the old town, surrounded by atmospheric taverns.
