Opened in 1910, this is the capital's most prestigious hotel, offering a combination of luxury and modern comforts. The rugs, carpets and wall-hangings were produced in the Royal Carpet Factory. The bathrooms are all furnished in marble, the starched linen sheets are hand-finished, and the furniture is stylish and antique. The location is unbeatable - close to Retiro Park, the Prado Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. It has been a favorite with high-society and the diplomatic corps since it's opening. The excellent restaurant offers a special dish of the day and you can eat on the garden-terrace in summer.
