All the best Basque traditions are maintained in this light, airy and spacious restaurant. That includes the attractive rustic decor of exposed wooden ceiling beams, woollen rugs on the floor, and paintings of Basque landscapes on the walls. As for the food, it is simply outstanding. The house speciality is chipirones encebollados (baby squid with sweetened onions). The wines are as rich and delicious as the food: Marqués de Arienzo y Ondarre from Rioja is the house red and Mantel Blanco from Rueda is the house white. Try the homemade pacharán (Blueberry liqueur) as a digestif. It is a popular place with successful executives.
